What was the problem they were facing?
New CEO took on the challenge of turning this decentralized company with major gaps in leadership capability and a 10 year long performance decline into a more tightly managed, well performing entity. Past leadership programs had presented little result in actual behaviours and performance.
How did we support?
Co-creation and roll out of new executive management program with participation from 80+ participants. Program established a common language and skill base around how to lead change and build high-commitment, high-performance organizations.
Facilitated a Strategic Fitness Process, clarifying the desired strategic direction and opening for engagement and honest conversation around the same with the rest of the company. Implementing strategy through result focused and cross functionally driven breakthrough projects.
What was the result?
Largest division improved margin 7-8 % over a 5 year period and the average return of the effort was 19 times the program cost based on the results of the breakthrough projects alone. Significant changes in behaviour and culture which catalysed increased collaboration across functions and geographies, and increased speed of problem solving. Increased understanding for link between unit effectiveness and overall company results.
